The Formation of Federal Indonesia 1945-1949

One of few scholars in the field of Indonesian law in the English-speaking world, presents in this volume the story of the establishment of the federal state structure in Indonesia during the years following World War 2, Professor Schiller had the advantage of the being 'on the spot' in Indonesia in the final stages of this process, in 1949, it was on 27th December 1949 that sovereignity over Indonesia was finally transferred by the Netherland Government to the newly formed federal state, the United States of Indonesia.
