Fables of Dawn: Selected Poem

Latiff Mohidin is one of Malaysia's best poets, besides being one of the country's best painters. This is the first book of Latiff's poetry in English translation. Its publication is certainly overdue. The selection of his poems contained in this book represents the work of two and half decades. It charts his development: from the earlier experimental, lyrical free verse, sometimes taking concrete visual forms, to the more formal, often meditative, very moving and haunting poems of his later phase.
