The book is the work of a team of officers in the Economic Research and Statistics Department of the Bank led by Dr Lin See Yan, the Economic Adviser, from whose doctoral thesis at Harvard University, a part of this publication has been compiled. 

The transformation of the financial system and the measures adopted by Bank Negara to develop and adapt the system in an environment of monetary stability have been reported regularly in the publications of the Bank.
