Malay Pantuns (A.W Hamilton)

A third of the one hundred and fifty versus have already appeared in print, although in a slightly different form in some cases, in a little volume entitled Malay Sonnets which was published in Singapore in 1932.

The present selection covers a wider field and should prove sufficiently comprehensive to give the reader an insight into the storehouse of the Malay mind and the beautiful imagery and the delicacy of thought woven into the texture of a Malay pantun.
